An extensive renovation and development project breathing new life into Regency farming estate, in an ANOB, on the outskirts of Bath. the brief was to create a private holiday home with a leisure suite, guest and staff accommodation across this 110 acre estate.
The refurbishment of the main house and gardens was only the start of this project.
Change of use and replacement dwelling planning applications were made to convert an existing office and a derelict barn into two comfortable guest cottages. A third barn, across the courtyard parking area, was converted to a games and media room with wet room facilities next to the new pool.
An agricultural tie was lifted on an estate cottage which was demolished to make way for a beautiful new home following a challenging planning application and eventual approval.
Wider ambitions for a leisure and entertaining suite, or the creation of a magnificent hill top bolt hole, were never realized but the show’s not over yet.
A fantastic project that saw us manage and deliver planning, bat licensing, construction tender production and construction project management, across the estate will forever live as a high point in our history.
